Deerfield Resort was built on an undeveloped 900 acre peninsula. The picture to the left shows the peninsula before the Resort was developed. Now, years later, Deerfield offers a full complement of resort amenities
Play golf, tennis, swim in the pool, or just relax in the hot-tub. Don't miss the opportunity to have breakfast or lunch at the Greens Clubhouse.
Deerfield resort offers a very gradual, private boat ramp that provides quick and easy lake access. The Dorner Home is less than a mile from the boat ramp by land and even closer by water.
The Greens at Deerfield
The Golf Course features a full pro-shop, club house, driving range and a large practice green. The 18 hole championship course is carved in the side of the mountainous terrain. The landscape and lake views are breathtaking. However, the golf course can be quite crowded with four legged spectators.
Rough Water at Norris Lake
With the endless number of coves on the lake it always easy to find smooth water.
The stunning views from every tee and green are worth the delay in getting on the lake.
Norris Dam was the first dam built by the TVA. It was begun in 1933 and three years later, its completion helped moderate the disastrous Ohio and Mississippi River flood of 1937.
